Senior National Sales Executive (3PL)

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Business Development: Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities with shippers and manufacturers requiring domestic freight solutions. 

  • Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary contact for national accounts, delivering customized logistics solutions and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. 

  • Sales Strategy Execution: Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to meet and exceed revenue goals. 

  • Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to position services effectively. 

  • Proposal & Contract Negotiation: Lead the RFP/RFQ process, craft competitive proposals, and negotiate pricing and contract terms. 

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with operations, pricing, and customer service teams to ensure successful implementation and customer onboarding. 

  • CRM Management: Maintain up-to-date records of sales activities, pipelines, and forecasts within the CRM system (e.g., Salesforce). 

Qualifications: 

  • 7+ years of proven sales experience in domestic transportation logistics (TL, LTL, Intermodal, or dedicated). 

  • Deep understanding of freight transportation market dynamics and pricing models. 

  • Strong book of business or demonstrated ability to build one. 

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. 

  • Ability to travel domestically as needed. 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred (but not required with experience). 

Preferred Attributes: 

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a hunter mentality. 

  • Strong industry network with carrier and shipper contacts. 

  • Experience selling third-party logistics (3PL) solutions or working with freight brokerages. 

  • Familiarity with TMS platforms and digital freight matching tools.
